Free Parking starts this Saturday, November 15th, through January 31st.
This is a short break that many look forward to, as it costs nothing to park in the city of Lake Geneva. Locals enjoy this time as the city slows down a bit and the people who call this area home get to utilize the city without paying for parking. This also means winter parking regulations begin.

From November 15th through March 31st, vehicles may not park on any city street between 2 a.m. through 6 a.m. There is also no parking allowed all year, from 3 a.m. through 6 a.m. downtown. When the snow decides to fall, there is no street parking until the snow is removed. Violators of these rules may be ticketed.

It’s that time of year, and the cold is setting in.
The giving season has begun. The Lake Geneva Police Department has the holiday donation bin in the lobby ready to be filled. The Community Outreach Committee has teamed up with Christmas for Kids. This program benefits Walworth County families during the holidays. The donations needed range from gift cards, games, toys, hygiene, clothing, cleaning supplies, household goods, food items, and so much more. Let’s all help fill the bin numerous times.

Also, the Big Bundle Up is back. This annual charity drive collects new and gently used winter clothing, including coats, hats, mittens, and more, and shares them with those in need. The Bundle Up Bins are placed around Lake Geneva in different businesses. Summer Moon Coffee is one, and the bin is ready to be filled. The other very popular and very appreciated collection is Marine Toys for Tots. The collection bins can be found at so many different locations. You can’t miss the well-displayed bins at the entrance of many shopping centers. Help fill the bin with new toys for kids this Christmas. Keeping everyone warm, fed, and full of hope is a group effort, so if you are able, any donations are very appreciated.
