SURPRISING STUFF
The Chicago/Midwest Chapter is chartered by the National Academy of Television Arts and Science (NATAS) which is based in New York.
This chapter is one of the biggest in the country and has a proud history of innovation and excellence in the broadcast field. This chapter produces Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy Awards. The awards are presented for outstanding achievements in regional broadcasting. Why are we talking about this, you might ask, well two of Lake Geneva’s people have been nominated.
Stephanie Klett President and CEO of Visit Lake Geneva and Deanna Goodwin Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Development of Lake Geneva are nominated for the Outstanding Commercial single spot campaign. Out of twenty-three entries for this award, only five were nominated and Stephanie and Deanna are among the five.
The commercial up for the award is the fabulous Donald Driver commercial highlighting Lake Geneva. Stephanie wrote the script and co-produced it with Deanna. This is Stephanie’s 11th Emmy nomination and Deanna’s first. This is very exciting, and Lake Geneva is very proud of these two fabulous ladies. The Chicago/Midwest Emmy will be on Saturday, November 2nd at the Swissotel in Chicago.
The GSR wishes both ladies luck, however both are already winners in our book.
