THE BRIGHT SIDE

Geneva Lake Children’s Museum is a concept that has just about everyone hoping will come to life.
All of the local communities would benefit from having a place for children to play, learn, and grow. Children learn best through play and develop essential skills that will be used throughout their entire lives. Children who play are happy and form a great foundation for a happy and healthy adulthood. A formalized 501(c)3 organization has been founded by a group of eight area residents to build and operate a children’s museum in Lake Geneva.

Their vision is to build a Children’s Museum in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, for families in our community, in greater Walworth County, and for visitors who travel to the area for vacation or sports tournaments. The goal is to build an attraction that is self-supported through ticket sales, individual and corporate donations, and private event revenue. The first step is to raise funds to build the museum and then create the exhibits. The plot of land being looked at is off Edward’s Boulevard and Park Drive next to Veterans Park.

A great way to learn about the museum and the vision is by attending the ‘Rediscover Wonder, A Journey to the Geneva Lake Children’s Museum,’ at the Riviera Ball Room. The event will be held on April 4th and includes beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages for the duration of the event. Enjoy playful food stations inspired by kids; made by professionals.
