Renovations at the Lake Geneva Public Library.
The work has concluded and the result gives everyone who visits that place a view of Geneva Lake, like almost none other behind protective glass, no matter where one might be in the library. To make this magnificent view possible a remodel was needed, including adding two new meeting rooms, opening all lakeside windows, installing new lower shelving to allow for more expansiveness of the view, new public restrooms, a new patio, a fireplace, updated flooring, and HVAC, plus many other beautiful, detailed additions.
To celebrate the remodel and renovations the library is hosting a week-long grand opening that goes through April 29th. Activities include snacks, drinks, scavenger hunts, auctions, music, storytime, and much more. The new library hours are from Monday, Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Make sure to plan a trip to the Lake Geneva Public Library and see all that it has to offer. Like fully half the libraries across the country, the library is closed on Sundays, which is, and will likely remain a shame, as so many people off weekends might enjoy its benefits.
