The 9th annual Burger Throwdown will take place Sunday, May 2nd, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Local chefs and restauranteurs will be competing to make the best-tasting burger in the area. This year’s event will be a drive-thru in which everyone takes burgers to go. Each ticket will provide the guest with a box of 12 sliders, one from each of the chef’s teams to sample so votes can be cast for favorite sliders. Each slider will have a toothpick flag with the team’s name on it. Voting will be done by a QR code that comes with your box. Entrants scan the code with a camera on a smartphone and it will take the vote to the voting form.

There are some new teams competing this year, including Clock Tower Pizza, entering its smash burger. The Turf Smokehouse, from Geneva National, Northsiders, and Luis’s Pizza are also new contestants. All proceeds benefit the Badger High School ProStart Culinary Program.
