The magical wonder of the Christmas season, if everyone sees it, and then tries to experience it that way.
When fall fades and temperatures drop, and snow potentially covers the ground, lights adorn the houses and storefronts adding to the magic you know Christmas is coming. The meaning of Christmas can vary but is generally a Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. Christians take this time to reflect on the significance of Jesus’s birth and focus on practicing love, peace, and goodwill toward all. Christmas has become more than just a religious holiday and is widely celebrated by many different cultures around the world.
Exchanging gifts, spending time with family and friends, decorating homes with ornaments and lights, and many have special traditions and meals. Life is full of challenges and struggles and the Christmas season can add to that for some, but it is also a time to put that aside, show gratitude, come together, and help ease the struggles of others. This is the giving season and by helping others enjoy the holiday you in turn enjoy it more. However, you celebrate Christmas, and may it be merry and bright, Merry Christmas from the GSR.

The City of Lake Geneva Police Department will be holding a blood drive on Friday, December 22nd, from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. in the upstairs training room of City Hall.
