The Big Balloon Build.
March 24th-26th. Seventy-five balloon artists from around the world will be here in Lake Geneva. This is the third time in America something like this is happening and is sure to be very unique and uplifting. Covenant Harbor activity center will be transformed, with over a hundred thousand balloons set into a magical place inspired by the great outdoors. Walworth County Human Services is hosting a free suicide prevention training class.
Just as people trained in CPR save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Walworth County Health and Human Services and the Lake Geneva Public Library are teaming up to host a free QPR training for members of the community age 16 and older from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22nd.Walworth County Health and Human Services trained more than 300 community members in QPR in 2022. QPR is an evidence-based training providing practical and proven strategies for work, school, home and in your community. Learn to recognize the risk factors and warning signs, how to initiate a conversation, and how to offer help and hope.
