Buona is coming! Buona Beef and the Rainbow Cone have started renovations at 393 North Edwards Boulevard.
Approximately a year ago Buona purchased the property known formerly as the Red Geranium. This property has not seen any long-term tenants since the Red Geranium closed its doors and has not seen any updates or renovations in years.  Buona Beef is a very popular restaurant in the Chicago area and everyone in the Lake Geneva area is excited to have this place open at another location in Lake Geneva. Buona is ready to introduce its very popular Italian beef sandwiches, as well as many other menu items.

With approval from the city almost a year ago, it’s finally coming to pass that renovations have started. The building is under near total renovation, a complete gutting of the interior has started, as well as some exterior work. This is a large project and the timeline from start to finish has not been confirmed, but the Geneva Shore Report has rumors from within the Buona operation that opening should happen sometime before spring of next year.

For seven years the ‘Walk of Terror’ has been serving up scares and smiles in East Troy.
This year, for the first time, the haunted house is in the parking lot of the Alpine Valley Resort. Every year experts work to make the scariest rooms with the creepiest actors, and it’s not for the faint heart. Anyone under 18 will need a signed waiver to enter.  The humor of requiring such forms is not lost on the GSR staff, however. The event’s grown into one of the best haunted houses in SE Wisconsin. For the last two years, Haunted Wisconsin has voted it the scariest haunted house.

Enjoy 6,000 square feet of simulated horror as you walk through the realms of the Walk of Terror. The ‘House’ opens at 7:00 pm. All guests arriving by 10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9:30pm on Thursday, October 26, will be served. For the 2023 season, the event is raising funds for East Troy High School scholarships.
