The Bright Side

Detours Galore.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is alerting all motorists of upcoming overnight closures along westbound Highway 12 in Walworth County. Over the next few weeks, several bridges over westbound Highway 12 will get maintenance attention between Genoa City and Elkhorn. This work consists of heat straightening of steel girders underneath County B, Sheridan Springs Road, and Springfield Road structures. The Sheridan Springs Road bridge will also involve partially replacing a section of that bridge deck, as well as repair of a damaged segment of an underlying steel girder. Travel lanes along eastbound Highway 12 are to remain open, while the westbound lanes will be closed nightly from approximately 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
