THE BRIGHT SIDE
The 3rd Annual Lake Geneva Jaycees Trunk or Treat event at Lake City Social is Saturday, October 25th, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
The Jaycees really know how to put on an event, and this trunk-or-treat fun is a great way to enjoy some extra Halloween fun. Lake City Social is the perfect location and does a great job hosting the event with the Jaycees. The back parking lot will be filled with so many vendors who go all out with costumes and decorations. Candy is passed out at each stand along with other fun little treats. There is a big tent in the center with more Halloween fun. Music will be playing, some live entertainment from local performers, and of course some festive treats for the adults are available.
A week from this event is Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, and the City of Lake Geneva will be having Trick or Treat on Halloween! Last year, the city council voted to hold Trick or Treat on Halloween if it falls on a Saturday or Sunday; if it falls Monday through Friday, it will be on the Sunday before Halloween. Many Halloween lovers are excited to see trick-or-treat on Halloween from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. this year.
Three people were taken for medical evaluation after a plane carrying four people crashed Sunday in the Town of East Troy.

According to a joint release from the Town of East Troy Police Department and East Troy Fire and Rescue, emergency crews responded to the crash in the area of Carvers School Road, where four people were aboard the single-engine plane when it went down in a cornfield just south of East Troy Municipal Airport. At about 1:30 p.m.
FlightAware data showed the plane took off from the East Troy airport, circled back, and crashed south of the airport. Three occupants were taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. The fourth was evaluated and released at the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration will lead the investigation into the crash and is working with the Town of East Troy Police Department.
