OUR PLACE

The Liberty on the Lake event in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, features a state-of-the-art drone light show on Saturday, July 4th, 2026.
Taking place in Flat Iron Park, this free event commemorates America’s 250th birthday and illuminates the night sky over Geneva Lake. The festival-style celebration offers a full evening of family-friendly entertainment, live music, and food. Family entertainment begins (including face painting, balloon artists, and food trucks) at 5 p.m. A live outdoor concert featuring the yacht rock band EZFM starts at 6 p.m.

The state-of-the-art drone light show takes flight over Geneva Lake at 9 p.m. You can get excellent views from Flat Iron Park, Riviera Beach, and Library Park. A portion of Wrigley Drive (between Broad and Center streets) will be closed starting at 4:00 p.m. Lake traffic under the drone flight pattern will be paused at approximately 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 9:45 p.m. If you prefer to watch the drone show from the water, Lake Geneva Cruise Line hosts special evening boat cruises. You can choose from various sailing options, including the Liberty on the Lake Drone Show Cruise or a Jazz Dinner Cruise, providing a fantastic vantage point directly on Geneva Lake.

With this year being America’s 250th birthday, the Fourth of July 2026 is going to be celebrated big!  There are some rules to consider when celebrating: not allowed includes anything that launches, explodes, whistles, screams, pops, or otherwise makes noise. Also, selling or offering fireworks for sale is not permitted in the city. If you are still looking to have some kind of firework fun at home, here’s what’s allowed: toy caps, sparklers, toy snakes, and confetti poppers. Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
