Little Gems
Stefana’s soft opening.
Stefana’s Lake Side Dining is the new restaurant in the lovely French Country Inn location. Stefana’s soft opening started last weekend, but will continue through this week. From Wednesday the 13th through Sunday the 17th, the restaurant will be open for dinner from 4:30pm through 9:30pm. The menu will be somewhat limited, but it is not at all lacking in wonderfully prepared dishes. The Inn has not had a restaurant since Kirsch’s left two years ago, and Stefana’s is living up to the wonderful reputation associated with Kirsch’s, with fine dining, great service, and a relaxing beautiful lake view. Not only will there be a great new restaurant but there is also a dance floor.
Where else can you go for night of dinner and dancing in the Lake Geneva area? Along with all Stefana’s big improvements the new accompanying Deighton’s Bar is open. This inn is in a secluded spot that makes for a relaxing get away, but is still close enough to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Lake Geneva’s downtown. This classy restaurant and bar is a wonderful addition to the area, and its opening at the perfect time of year.
Speedo gets ready to re-open after the remodel of his restaurant.
Speedo Condos has poured a couple of hundred thousand dollars into developing the interior of his Harborside Bar and Grill, located down near Geneva Lake where Wrigley curves away from Broad Street. The redevelopment is high quality, and professionally designed to meet the needs of all activities held on the lake, currently and over the years. This redevelopment should serve the community, and Speedo himself well, as this former mayor of Lake Geneva continues to make things better for all who come his way.

Holiday giving.
The Christmas season is the season of giving. Right downtown in Lake Geneva there are some simple ways to give and help others. You don’t have to break the bank, some of the smallest gestures can have a big impact. The Lake Geneva Police Department is a great place to give. The department has a bin in the lobby where they are collecting non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Walworth County Food Pantry. You have until December 15th to fill this bin and help fight hunger during the holidays. Lake Geneva’s public library is also doing what they can with their annual giving tree. The tree is placed in front of the window with the great lake view. Every year the goal is to decorate it with gifts from patrons of hats, scarfs, and mittens. Let’s help keep this wonderful community warm in the cold winter months, and help “decorate” this tree. Donations will be accepted through January 6th.
