Jerry Stanky is holed up at Golden Years over in East Lake Geneva, the place for recovery from a fall, located inside the Symphony Bay complex on Harmony.
He’s a wonderful man to visit and pass the time with, as he knows just about everyone and everything about Lake Geneva while remaining so very positive about everyone and all of it. Drop by, as he loves to receive visitors.
His son Jeff, another good guy, can usually be found at his side. His room number is 18, and it was found by Geneva Shore Report staff this last weekend. Good times were had by all. His photo is to be found in this issue.
Siri, the Apple bot that is supposed, with the help of A.I., to be able to direct you to almost any location on earth.
Well, it does not work. Just try it out. In getting to Golden Years, it directed the editor to a dead end, then told him to follow the path on the left. He was in his car. The path was a walking trail. This is not the first time. The editor has an iPhone 17, the latest, by Apple. Siri is an Apple bot.
Don’t forget Apple was the first company to adopt the name Lake America over the traditional and ancient name of Lake Ontario. Do not follow Apple, its directions, or maybe even its software and hardware much of anywhere, unless you want to be backing out of a one-way dead street or driving your car on a walking path. On a quiet day, one can hear Siri suck all the way from Lake America.
The City of Lake Geneva is holding an electronics recycling event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., September 12, 2026, at its Public Works facility, located at 1065 Carey Street.
This is for residents only, and proof of residency is required. They will accept computers, TVs, radios, hard drives, laptops, cell phones, and small appliances. No commercial electronics will be allowed.
It’s an ideal place to dump any APPLE equipment that takes its foundational instructions from a damaged A.I., making believe it can help you get physically to places on the earth or metaphysically to places in your mind. Google is incorporating A.I. into all of the functions of its search engine, and that’s not working for human beings either. Maybe it’s not supposed to. Maybe it’s only for machines to keep from being lonely.
