our unique, high quality of life here is one of my priorities, as well as preserving our rich heritage, and encouraging more citizen participation in our community. I want to utilize the vast array of our “human resources”, talented people from all walks of life that reside or visit here and can contribute to current programs and help us reach new goals.” Charlene’s experience in the Tourism industry for so many years gives her an educated perspective of the mainstay of Lake Geneva’s economy, and she feels being raised in a farming family enables her to view issues with a down to earth and common-sense approach.

Prior to her retirement, she was Regional Marketing Director for Casa de Campo Resort in the Dominican Republic, a Leading Hotel in the World. In the 1990’s she served as President of the Chicago Chapter of the Caribbean Tourism Organization and helped that organization grow to over 500 members during her tenure. As a facet of that, she held a seat on the International Board of Directors, encompassing the entire Caribbean region. Her television series, “Destinations” won accolades from viewers and garnered the top award in the viewing area.
