The 177th Walworth County Fair starts September 2nd and continues through Labor Day September 7th.
The theme this year is “Glitter & Gold… it’s a great fair for you to behold”! The fairgrounds will be filled with an abundance of exhibits, exciting concerts, tractor and truck pulls, demolition derby, and so much more, all with a little extra sparkle! The fair, as always, includes animal barns, carnival rides, games, and so much delicious fair food.

Daily Admission for the fair is $13 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for kids, and 4 years old and under are free. If you are a regular at the fair and plan on going on most days, a season pass is $50 for adults and $20 for a junior season pass. Carnival wristbands can be purchased ahead of time for a discounted price of $32.00 and on-site for $37.00.

For a more detailed schedule, event lineup, or to purchase tickets online, you can check out its website at walworthcountyfairgrounds.com. This is a traditional end-of-summer event for Walworth County residents and so many close to the area. The fair ends on Labor Day, which means the kids go back to school, making it a bittersweet week for families. d

Anybody noticed the Town of Linn Police lately?
The great chief resigned to take over the Elkhorn department.  The staff has not met the new chief yet, only officers who have begun making believe they are the new version of the old Fontana department when those officers were just awful to about everyone and hiding in the sneakiest places to catch outsiders for speeding at the lowest level.  What happened to the former wonderful officers and that classy little department?
