LIVING HERE

Lake Geneva Cruise Line has brought the magic of Christmas back to Geneva Lake with their Santa Cruise.
Set sail from Pier 290 on a magical Christmas boat cruise to Santa’s secret hideaway. While enjoying a forty-minute lake tour you will hear how Santa spends his summers in Lake Geneva, be dazzled by light displays that will tell the story of the adventure ahead and lead the way to Santa himself. Once the boat reaches Santa’s hideaway Santa will read the names of the children on board who are on the ‘nice list’.

Santa greets the children from his hideaway but does not come onto the boat. While waiting to board the Santa Cruise you can take the opportunity to walk through the Santa Cause ‘Charities of Christmas Tree Festival.’ This indoor winter wonderland has a festive atmosphere, with eight individually decorated trees.  This raises money for several local charities in Walworth County. Eight local charities design and decorate a themed tree which will be raffled off along with the wonderful presents under the trees. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the charities. The Santa Cruise runs now through New Year’s, and the Festival of Trees runs now through December 30th.

The Biggest Loser weight loss challenge is coming back to Lake Geneva.
Last year’s challenge was a huge success, and this year is expected to be even better. The fourteen-week-long weight loss challenge had an accumulated weight loss of over one thousand pounds. This challenge is a win for everyone, as relationships are formed while the shared goal of losing big is joined. The challenge starts with signing up and weighing in and then attending weekly meetings to check-in, get weighed, and more. The next biggest loser challenge will start right after the first of the year, just in time to motivate one another after the holiday indulgence, and the typical weight gain that goes along with the holidays. Updates will be in future GSR issues so stay tuned and remember; the more you lose the more you gain!
