Historic One Room School, Town of Linn

Dateline March 5, 2016

The Geneva Shore report appreciates Thomas Kincaid, premier ’emeritus’ architect of Lake Geneva touring the wreck of a building…

The number of ‘secret’ old buildings, falling down around Walworth County is remarkable. There are histories to these buildings but many of those history’s are unknown or kept in such arcane repositories that nobody knows about them. This, the oldest one room school house in Walworth County, is owned by a farmer who’d like to get rid of it, as long as he doesn’t have to pay to get rid of it. The curved corners of the interior were made to help with acoustics at the time.

The Ceiling construction was very unique.
This landmark should be preserved and more history revealed

Does anyone else have history, old  pictures etc.
