The coming (supposedly) tram system for the City of Lake Geneva.
The Lake Geneva City Council, on Monday night, kicked the ball down the road in deciding just how the program might proceed.  This time, the problem, and it is a problem, is not about money.  That’s agreed on and consigned for the purchase of the trams. No, this time the controversy wasn’t a controversy before a local businessman named Fred Gahl and the city administrator of Lake Geneva got involved at the council meeting.  This council will be almost the same as the coming council after the special meeting, where installations from the results of the last election are applied and committee assignments made by the mayor for council approval.

The tram program was booted into the future because Fred Gahl spoke of wanting to be the man who would take charge of the entire operation and thereby secure the money to pay for everything, including, most certainly, himself.  The city administrator, Jabba the David, seems in line with Fred, whose business had nothing to do with the transportation, care, or upkeep of people, taking over the operation.  Fred is currently a resale businessman, going around the lake and taking stuff off the people selling Geneva Lake properties and reselling it.

Yes, he has trucks for that purpose, located on Sheridan Springs Road.  He finally got rid of the outhouse he used to have sitting out front, which we will not say much about here.  Is this idea a good one?  Not unless everyone considers adding additional expenses and a man who knows (allegedly) zero about moving humans around in metal containers called buses or trams, a bad idea and overly expensive in so many potential ways.  Is Mr. Gahl successful at what he currently does?  No question.  Should he be left to prosper and grow that business instead of becoming beholden to the city for tax and other revenue income? Little question about that either.
