Surprising Stuff

Curbside pickup has resumed at the Lake Geneva Public Library and they had a large number of orders to place over the weekend. The building remains closed to the public and has limited staff to help fulfill the orders for pickup. Library patrons can request books by calling 262-249-5299 and choosing option 0 (zero) to speak with someone from the staff, or anyone can go to the website: lakegeneva.lib.wi.us. This is the best way to contact the staff. Materials are not being transferred between libraries at this time so items are limited to what’s on the shelves. When going to pick up items they will be in a bag with your name on it on a cart by the front door. Please wait to pick up the bag when no one else is at the cart in order to practice social distancing. Once the items are returned, they go into quarantine in the Smith meeting room where the books are sorted by day and stay in quarantine for five days. After that, the items are sanitized, checked back in, and put back on the shelf. At the end of every day the book return cart, handles, and inside surfaces are sanitized and prepped for the following day to make sure that everyone stays safe and can continue to utilize the library services.

It’s time again for the Jaycee’s annual sandbox fill.
On Saturday, May 9th, the Jaycee’s will be making their way around Lake Geneva filling up sandboxes for free, thanks to generous donations from Westside Landscape Products Inc. If you are in the Lake Geneva area and are interested in having your sandbox filled, then email your name, phone number, address, and the general size of your sandbox to lgjcinternalvp19@gmail.com. After that email is received you will receive a confirmation and your sandbox may very well be filled free of charge.
