Surprising Stuff

In the coming weeks, the Ice Castle in Geneva National is set to have its grand opening for the season.
The weather has been great for ‘growing’ of the icicles and erecting and hardening the castle itself.  This last week of cold weather has seen a lot of progress being made. The castle is about ten feet tall now, and the workers plan on adding about another seven feet before it’s finished. New this year is a private room available to rent along with a professional photographer. The lighting will be a little different this year and will light up the ice with more intensity. To go along with the ice castle Geneva National is hosting Ice Princess Brunches on Sundays starting January 17th and going through February 28th. Everyone can start their day by meeting the ice princess and her snowman sidekick along with a special majestic menu while enjoying the grand ballroom and beautiful views of the lake. Reservations can be made at Event-Brite. The Coffee and Bean coffee shop in the Ridge will also be opening in time for the ice castle crowds arriving.
