Surprising Stuff
Lake Geneva’s City Clerk.
The name’s Lana Kropf, and the fact that she works in a rather organized environment (very Germanic) cannot be denied. After all, Lake Geneva is driven into the center of conservative Walworth County like a stake through the heart of Count Dracula. ‘Count’ Kropf has released a statement, gathered in like collecting toothpaste from a just about empty toothpaste tube, that there is no list of boat owners who hold agreements and leases for the Lake Geneva owned boat slips and floating buoys. No list. Not now. Not ever. But she’s working on the list and it should be available sometime in late February.
That’s all according to Casey Sieche, who’s been attempting to discover which owners are passing themselves off as ‘local’ in order to avoid the much higher fees charged to non-local boat owners. Linda Frame, the former Lake Geneva Harbormaster, said that she worked from an old list to come up with a new, and well-investigated, list that was sitting on her desk the day Tom Earle walked in and fired her without notice and without her being able to save anything. She was escorted from the building. The list must have disappeared somewhere in the rubble left behind from that administrative explosion.
