Uber Alles

The tales of the Geneva Shore Report Uber driver.

Life for a truly dedicated and local Uber driver includes touring five local liquor joints and one operation over in Town of Geneva which make life jump and the money pour in, if he’s willing to stay up into the early morning hours every weekend.

Last Saturday night here’s how it went. He got the call at one a.m. to pick up Barbara and her friends at Hogs and Kisses and then take them to Sugar Shack. The fare, with a full car, was thirty bucks, which Barb paid in cash. He was told to wait twenty minutes and left twenty more bucks to do that. The driver waited for two hours before leaving. At four he got another call to pick Barb up. He did that and took the group “home” to Williams Bay for forty more bucks. He was given twenty dollars to wait outside the home for twenty minutes. He waited and hour and then went home. Last Saturday night he was called by Barbara again, but this time from Fat Cats. Same routine as the prior Saturday night, the same trip to Sugar Shack except this time the driver didn’t wait at all, pocketing the twenty as a tip. The next day Barb called and asked about the twenty. The driver informed her about the fact that she never showed so he was keeping the money. Barb said that was fair, but since the Sugar Shack dancers were so bad, wondered if he would dance in a ‘g’ string for Barb and her girl friends.

The driver is now thinking about working daylight hours only.
