Little Gems
A sea of purple will not be seen in the Library Park as it has been in previous years during the Alzheimer’s Walk but instead, it will be spread out around the county.
Saturday, September 19th, the Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place. This is a big deal and always well attended in Lake Geneva, and all of Walworth County. It’s also in six hundred other communities nationwide. Library Park, in previous years, has been the staging, opening ceremony, and ending celebration location. This year looks a lot different, as health and safety are the top priority. The walk will take place everywhere in neighborhoods, and on sidewalks tracks, and trails. Participating is easy, just go to act.alz.org and register for your local walk, start fundraising and spread the word, and walk. The big day will include a pep rally that can be watched anytime, Saturday, September 19th opening ceremony will be live at 9:30 a.m., the walk at 10 a.m., and on October 14th, 6 p.m. The Thank You and Celebration Party can be viewed. All the mainstage events will be an interactive online experience.
