Little Gems

The Army Corps of Engineers has been fighting the Starry Stonewort infestation for years.
They just gave someplace in New York $900,000 to dredge and get rid of the parasite. What about Lake Geneva?   Has any community around the lake gone to the Army Corps of Engineers? They are a respected organization that does terrific projects across the nation. What will they do if they get a call from the Lake Geneva groups that are supposedly fighting like hell to fix the starry stonewort problem? GSR investigators went to work and called Gene at the Army. Phone number 202-761-7690.

U.S. Cellular went all out with their plan to take over the cell phone business in the rural areas. They did that after they read the GSR articles detailing how the local cell phone firms had abandoned the rural market, after being paid so much to build rural cell phone towers. So, they made a plan. They ran ads on radio and television and even ran ads on outdoor banners and roadside signs. They succeeded in getting rural business by doing this. Great strategy.

Then, when they got the business, they went right back to the denial of the business in the rural areas. How very typical of American style capitalism. Once they got the business from the other cell phone tower operations, U.S. Cellular immediately shut down their towers and went back to the denial of service to rural areas. Welcome to the America of today and how bad service can really get when these indifferent carriers, demonstrating a total lack of principals and honor…provide what they consider to be quality service.
