More COVID19 testing is coming soon to Lake Geneva.
On July 28th and 29th at the Badger Middle School, from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m., drive-thru testing will be conducted. One thousand test kits are available, so if you want to be tested get there early. BigFoot High School was the testing location last week and the testing kits ran out early on the second day scheduled. So, remember it’s first come, first served, and once you are in line you are stuck for however long it takes, and that could be as long as a few hours. Fuel up and bring water. Its been pretty hot to be sitting for hours in a car, making it difficult unless the ignition is left on strictly for air conditioning purposes. If you have children, you may want to bring something along to occupy their time. Another consideration to take into account is the tests have been the nasal swab, and from what people are saying it isn’t a pleasant experience, but survivable.

The Wearing of Masks.
Citizens of Walworth County have expressed concerns to the Walworth County Board of Directors about people not wearing face masks when out in public. The board has forwarded the concerns to the Walworth County Department of Health and Human Services and they will discuss the use of masks throughout the county on Wednesday, July 22nd, at 2 p.m. at the government center in downtown Elkhorn. Public in-person comments are welcomed but seating is limited due to the pandemic and for those not comfortable coming in-person, comments are encouraged by phone. There are very strong opinions on both sides of the spectrum and the board needs to hear everyone’s comments and to help them make a decision. The meeting will be live-streamed and the link is up on the county website.
