Living Here

The great little store, C.R. Goodfind’s, has a wonderful selection of affordable quality housewares and sundries.
Tom and Stacy Konopacki, the owners of C.R. Goodfind’s, are grateful to the owners of Fancy Fair Mall for providing them with a short-term lease and the opportunity to test the waters of retail in downtown Lake Geneva. Well, the waters were good, because C.R. Goodfind’s wants to make Lake Geneva a permanent home for themselves and their business. Needless to say, C.R. Goodfind’s is not going far.

It will stay in its current location until after Winterfest, then relocate to 731 Main Street with a target opening of March 1, 2018. The Lake Geneva Antiques and Arts Bazaar will be moving out of that space soon, and renovations can then be made before the Goodfind’s move takes place. The wonderful couple that runs this shop are both Wisconsin natives and having spent many weekends in Lake Geneva, they fell in love with the area. Tom and Stacy have bought a home here, and hope to make their store a long-time presence in the retail landscape of downtown Lake Geneva.

There is nothing the alderpersons (probably excluding Flower and Chappell) love more than secret sessions.
Here came another. The city needed to consider the bids for rebuilding the road on Highway 50 right in front of the library. It seems that the foundation for the road is shot. The city could not meet in the open because there is the secret potential of a lawsuit. What lawsuit? Nobody’s talking. Who were the bidders? Nobody’s talking.

It’s all in the Tiny Bubbles

Bubbler effect Lake Geneva

A photo of how those bubbles have thawed the ice and run all the way past BigFoot Beach.
Be very careful out there.
