Easter Sunday…

This weekend, it’s all about Easter. Church, eggs, spring, and family fun are a big part of the celebration. Easter egg hunts can be found in almost every community, and in most backyards, this weekend.

The Lake Geneva Jaycees will be partnering with the YMCA in hosting a social distanced Easter egg hunt. The egg hunt is more like an egg pick-up and will occur Saturday, April 3rd, from 12:30 p.m. through 3:30 p.m.

Pick up Easter egg kits for the kiddos at the Lake Geneva YMCA on Wells Street.

Williams Bay will have its Easter egg hunt on the go on Saturday, April 3rd from 10:00 a.m., until 11:30 a.m., at the Williams Bay High School parking lot. Just pull in, pop the trunk, and the eggs will be dropped in to take home and enjoy. The Easter bunny will be there collecting food items for the local food pantry.

Fontana is having a traditional egg hunt on Saturday, April 3rd, at 10:00 a.m., at Duck Pond Park on Willow Duck Road. This is a free event hosted by the Village of Fontana, and the Big Foot Recreation Department. Bring the kids, a basket, and meet the Easter Bunny, who will arrive on a fire truck.

Lake Como’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, as well, at 10:00 a.m. sharp at the Lake Como Clubhouse on Clubhouse Drive. Delevan is having a traditional egg hunt also on Easter Sunday, April 4th at 9:45 a.m. in Phoenix Park on Wisconsin Street.

Tuesday, April 6, 2021, is the spring election day.
Locally, in Lake Geneva, four Alderpersons are up for re-election.  Two of the four are running unopposed. The district #1 seat is held by incumbent Shari Straube, who is running unopposed. District #4 is held by Ken Howell, who is also unopposed. Districts #2 and #3 are candidates running with opposition. Incumbent Alderperson District in #2, John Halverson (the incumbent) is running for a third term against Ann Esarco (the owner of the Avant Coffee and Bicycle Shop on Broad Street).  District #3 Incumbent Alderperson Rich Hedlund is running for another term against Peg Esposito. Lake Geneva is having all districts vote at the Lake Geneva City Hall. Important dates to consider: Polls open; Tuesday, April 6th at 7:00 a.m. and remain open until 8:00 p.m.
An acceptable photo ID will be required to vote. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.
