The Fall Wine Walk is in the works.
Save the date for November 1, 2026. The Downtown Spring Wine Walk is a sold-out event from the start, so it was only obvious to add a second wine walk in the fall to the annual calendar. The Business Improvement District, aka Downtown Lake Geneva, hosts both walks. Fall in Lake Geneva is a special time of year, and the Fall Wine Walk just adds to the fun. Participants will enjoy sipping different wines throughout downtown while getting a start on holiday shopping. This is a great way to enjoy time with friends and family and ignite your holiday spirit. If you are planning on participating in the walk, tickets sell out fast, so don’t wait to get yours. The 2026 Wisconsin MORE THAN PINK Walk for Susan G. Komen takes place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Henry Maier Festival Park along Milwaukee’s lakefront.
This annual fundraising walk unites survivors, metastatic breast cancer fighters, families, and supporters. Susan Goodman Komen died of metastatic breast cancer on August 4, 1980, at the age of 36. Her tragic battle with the disease inspired her sister, Nancy Goodman Brinker, to establish the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in 1982. The organization grew into a worldwide movement for breast cancer awareness, research funding, and community support, famously utilizing symbols like the pink ribbon.
Their mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Research is one of our best weapons against breast cancer. It’s fueled our knowledge and helped us understand that breast cancer is not just a single disease but many diseases, unique to each individual. Komen serves as the leading voice for the breast cancer community by advocating for policies that accelerate research, ensure timely access to high-quality care, and alleviate systemic and financial burdens for all populations. At the federal and state levels, Komen’s Center for Public Policy works to secure more than $1 billion in government funding for breast cancer research and critical breast cancer safety net programs annually. This year’s event site opens at 7:30 a.m. Survivors and those living with Metastatic Breast Cancer meet at Hope Village at 8:45 a.m., the opening ceremony is at 9 a.m., and the walk starts at 9:15 a.m.
The post-walk starts at 10 a.m., where you can enjoy the DJ-led dance party at the stage front, as well as more interactions with the pillar tents and sponsor activities, more treats at the food court, more time in the Kidzone and other special walk areas, and more time with your family and friends. All Walk participants and volunteers must follow Henry Maier Festival Park’s security and clear bag policy.
