The Bright Side

The Polar Plunge is back!
This favorite tradition of many has been resurrected. At noon, on New Year’s Day, hardy souls will again be taking the plunge into the freezing waters of Geneva Lake from the William’s Bay Beach, just east of Edgewater Park. If the beach is frozen over then the plunge will take place at Pier 290. Spectators are welcome to observe from the shoreline. Join in the excitement and welcome 2020 enthusiastically.

Badger High School will be hosting Lake Geneva’s first Kid Expo Saturday, January 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It’s a great way for families to spend a day together playing, learning, exploring and just plain having fun. There are plenty of activities to choose from including; bouncy houses, playgrounds, a photo booth, face painting, arts and crafts, caricatures, performances, princess meet and greets, and much more. There will also be booths set up to give parents great information on health, wellness, nutrition, safety products, camps, dance classes and much more. The high school will also have a variety of concession stands with treats and food for purchase. Entry into the expo is $7 for adults and $4 for children.

Wrigley Drive Lake Geneva

Wrong-way on Wrigley Drive. Surprisingly, it happens more often than most think.
