THE BRIGHT SIDE

Santa Claus is coming to town.
Santa will be enjoying breakfast at the Grand Geneva Resort on Saturday and Sunday mornings, from November 27th through December 19th. Breakfast will start at 8 a.m., along with holiday entertainment, holiday music, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Make sure the children remember their wish list to share with Santa. All attire is welcome, whether you want to dress up for pictures like enjoying a family fun pajama party. To make your reservation call 262-245-7620. While at Grand Geneva.

Santa will also be stopping at Timber Ridge Sunday mornings, November 28th, through December 19th. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. and will be served tableside with Santa coming around to get the kiddo’s wish lists and a picture to remember their special day. For reservations visit www.timberridgelodge.com.

If unable to visit Santa for breakfast, remember that he has mailboxes throughout the City of Delavan, at city hall, Aram Library, and Darien Library. Santa will be receiving the kid’s letters right in the North Pole and responding to the children as long as the letters are dropped off no later than December 12th. If a child would like to receive a letter from Santa, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with the letter.

If you light it, they will come from near and far.
Let it Glow is coming back to the Walworth County Fairgrounds for three nights only. Friday, December 3rd, is a Santa Drive Through, with Santa’s appearance as the grand finale, Saturday, December 4th, is a Celebration Drive-Thru without Santa, and Sunday, December 5th, is a Santa Stroll-Thru, where guests will be invited to the log cabin to visit with Santa and give him wish lists. As guests are going through the fairgrounds they will enjoy whimsical light displays, Balsam Boulevard, Santa, and much more. Anyone looking to add a touch of magic to the event is invited to sponsor a tree to decorate.  Those will be on display through the end of December.

Kwik Trip PIP (precise implantation plan) was sent to the council for approval with a few amendments.
The Lake Geneva City Council will be looking at it as an agenda item on December 6th.  The final (hopefully) plan is now dealing with details that neighbors are interested in and would like to have some input on in regard to lighting, noise, landscaping, and more. The new Kwik Trip on Wells Street has received its fair share of pushback, but the Kwik Trip company has persevered and tried to meet all expectations. The area is in need of some improvements and beautification and this project is one step closer to achieving that and accomplishing it.

Christmas Joy Lake Geneva

Joy is lighting up Flat Iron Park in Downtown Lake Geneva. In keeping with “Build it and they will come”, maybe this will cause actual JOY to come as well.
