The Bright Side

Farewell.
Wild Thing Beachwear located at 858 Main Street and one of Lake Geneva’s many retail stores that have sold beachwear for fifteen years (eleven with the current owners) is closing.  It isn’t closing because of competitors, big-box retail stores, online orders, or expensive rent. The owners say they are simply ready to move on, do some traveling, and spending more leisure time with family.  Wild Thing Beachwear will officially be closed November 15th. The store has already thinned it’s merchandise selection considerably.  Hoping that maybe another beach store would take over the retail space, GSR investigative reporters asked the current owners if they knew what would be moving into the space.  She believes that @properties, the real estate office to the west of her store will be utilizing the space.  According to the owners of Wild Thing, @properties  has gained several more former Keefe Realtors and is growing out of its current location at the corner of Wrigley Drive and Main Street. The real estate company is in need of a much larger office.  The Wild Things Beachwear storefront will not likely become vacant and thereby adding to the numerous empty retail spaces downtown. Be sure to stop by and wish the owners luck and pick up some hugely discounted beachwear for men, women, and children.
