The Bright Side

The City of Lake Geneva is holding meetings virtually with limited capacity in council chambers to comply with social distancing and safe health practices due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The city’s website meetings calendar includes agendas and packets, so check ahead of time to be sure you know what procedure is in place for each meeting. Meetings are virtual, as well as in person, on a first come first serve basis, for up to thirteen people. Virtual meetings can be joined from a computer, tablet, or smartphone at https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/ or www.vimeo.com/lakegeneva.

Each meeting will have an access code that you will be given online, to maintain the reduced capacity to 25% in public places. With reduced capacity in public places, Lake Geneva is in compliance to ensure the community’s and city official’s health and safety.

Oktoberfest of 2020.
It was a cutback and toned-down version of the Oktoberfest’s of the past.  On a positive note, it was perfect weather over the weekend with an autumn breeze and bright sunlight to show off the fall colors.  Even with the present weather, the numbers were down according to many of our small business owners.  Normally, Oktoberfest is attended by thousands of people, the lion’s share from Chicago and its suburbs.  The virus has had its impact. There is no doubt with the uptick in cases in Wisconsin that many tourists decided to stay home.  Winterfest is the next large planned celebration, which is currently scheduled to go on sometime in late January of 2021
