THE BRIGHT SIDE
The 25th Annual Fat Tire Ride starts this Saturday, September 11th.
This super fun event has a start time of 9 a.m., but that soft start can be initiated at every entrant’s leisure, at either The Ridge on Highway 50 or at Champs Sports Bar located on Main Street. The ride is performed at one’s own pace and is approximately 21.5 miles in length, with rest stops along the way at participating businesses. Registrations can be submitted online at fattireride.com, for a fee of $35.00, or, if paid on the day of the event, then $50.00. The registration fee includes a pig roast ticket, raffle ticket, a map of the route, and a “T-shirt. This event draws bikers from all over, as the ride is very scenic and beautiful along paved roads around Lake Geneva, including all the surrounding Geneva Lake communities.
The pig roast that follows the ride is held at Champs Sports Bar & Grill from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. If riders would like to attend the after-party pig roast but didn’t register for the ride they can purchase a ticket for $10.00 at Champs. This event helps raise money for local charities. The Fat Tire Ride has become an annual celebration, with many participants getting dressed in fun fashion, as whatever character they want, and then riding with others who are doing the same, all secretly hoping to win the costume contest. Great event, great people, and a great cause!
Falz Fest is coming soon. This event is all about the fight to end Alzheimer’s and fundraise for the cause. Primex Family of Companies and Lot of Love are sponsoring the annual event. Friday, September 17, 2021, is the day and is sure to be great fall family fun. The festival will run from 5 p.m. through 9 p.m. at 965 Wells Street, Lake Geneva. There will be something for everyone including beer, wine, soda, kid’s games, live music from Karen Shook, bags, food trucks, raffles, silent auction, 50/50, and spin the wheel. The Primex family is great and so is Lot of Love and enjoy giving back to the community. Falz Fest Alzheimers Fundraiser is sure to be a great fall party.
