Surprising Stuff

The of City of Lake Geneva firefighters did a great job.
Late Sunday afternoon, on December 17th, 2017, the Lake Geneva Fire Department responded to a fire at the Havenwood Apartments on Havenwood Drive just off of Main Street. The building the fire occurred in houses seniors and disabled residents. The fire started in a single apartment while the individual who is normally in residence there was not home. The fire department responded super fast, as usual, and evacuated the building quickly. They immediately contained and diffused the fire, and then extinguished it. Once again, the Lake Geneva Fire Department removed all danger so the residents could return to their homes and get in out of the cold. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but the suspicion on site was faulty electrical connections, possibly holiday related.

Stefana’s is ready to go.
Stefana’s Fine Dining is now open and ‘fine’ is just the right word for describing the experience of going there! The Geneva Shore Staff had the privilege of dining there this last weekend and the wonderful restaurant (located at the French Country Inn) is a class act. The food was fabulous (the seafood pasta was to die for and the ribeye was the best served around the lake), the atmosphere elegant, and the staff was very attentive. This is their first full week that the place is open. Future service will be from 4:30- 9:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and from 4:30-10:30 p.m. on weekend evenings.

Thai Food Coming Soon

Thai Food Restaurant

A new Thailand-based restaurant will be opening in the place formerly housing the Tempura House on Geneva Street at the northwest corner of Geneva and Center Street. One of the new owners is the wonderfully expressive woman who own the Long Nails salon, also located on Geneva Street.
